Photography & Me
"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything." — Aaron Siskind
My name is Emma, and I'm the friendly face behind the lens of Bridlington Photography. I have long believed that beautiful photographs are a thing to be treasured and only become even more valuable with time, creating a wonderful legacy to pass on to your children.
If you appreciate classic, timeless images that you will love for many years to come and would like your baby, children or family to be photographed by a professional, then please read on.
My Photography Journey
I am a Professional Photographer but also a Wife and a Mummy. Which is how my journey into photography began, when my son was born. I wasn't aware of many photographers in my area so I picked up my camera and took photos of him myself, albeit at an amateur standard, but they were images I will always treasure.
I just wish I had known of someone who could capture those early images and have me in the photo too rather than behind the camera! I decided to invest my time in learning about Photography and to make better use of my camera and after achieving a diploma in Photography and another in editing, I decided to start taking photographs for other people, mainly friends and family. Word started to spread thanks to my friends and family and I was able to start expanding my portfolio and my experiences have led me to where I am today, concentrating on working with newborns and children in my own studio space, all fully insured with PolicyBee.
My Photography Passion
Newborn babies have a beautiful gentleness about them with all their tiny details and early character starting to peek through. It is my job to capture that for you in an expert yet delicate manner, because it's not just about capturing how your baby looked at that time, but also to record the feelings you had for your baby too, so you can look back over the photos and rekindle those feelings all over again.
Infants develop their own character so quickly as they grow and I love to capture that in the sitting poses. Come your child's first birthday, this is time for them to celebrate this big milestone by having lots of fun and making loads of mess with the cake smash - without you having to clean it up!
I also believe that pregnancy is an important part of the journey and love to capture that blooming bump and help you embrace your body.
I have been blessed with many wonderful clients and I look forward to meeting many more.
